Terms of Use

Last updated 31 October 2026.

Try a Trend (tryatrend.com) is operated by Chenhao Huang (ABN 76 628 118 781), a sole trader based in Victoria, Australia (“we”, “us”). These terms apply whenever you use the site or buy credits. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

Who can use Try a Trend

You must be 18 or older to use the site or buy credits or gifts. By using it, you confirm that you are.

What you can upload

Some family and holiday trends accept photos that include children. The trend's page says so, and asks you to confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian. On those trends only:

On every other trend, everyone pictured must be 18 or older.

Pet trends have their own rules:

Vehicle trends (your car, bike or anything on wheels) have their own rules:

Some trends let you upload your own background photo:

You must have the right to use every photo you upload. We check each photo automatically and may reject photos that break these rules. If a photo is rejected after you spent a credit, or a video fails, the credit is returned.

Permission to use your photos

You keep all rights in your photos. You give us permission to use them only to run the safety check and to make the preview and video you asked for, including sending them to our AI providers for those steps. This permission ends when the photo is deleted, which happens automatically within 72 hours.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Try a Trend to:

Your videos

Videos are made by AI. They may not look exactly like the people or pets in your photos and may contain mistakes. You are responsible for how you share them. Please turn on the AI-generated content label when you post. You may use your videos for personal use and on social media. We don't claim ownership of them and we never post them anywhere. Videos don't include music; add a sound in the app you post on.

Trend names describe popular video formats. Try a Trend is an independent tool and is not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram or the creators of the original videos.

Keeping your videos

Your video is available in the browser where you made it, or in a browser where you restore your credits with your purchase email. To protect your privacy, we delete each video 72 hours after it's made. Download it if you want to keep it.

Refunds

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under other consumer laws that apply to you and can't be excluded.

Free previews

Free previews are limited per person and per day across the whole site. We may change these limits or pause free previews at any time.

Takedown requests

If you believe a video uses your likeness without permission, email [email protected]. We respond within 48 hours.

Suspending access

We may refuse a photo, stop a video or block a browser that breaks these terms. If we do, we will refund unused credits unless they were bought fraudulently or used to break these terms.

Our content

The site's design, text and sample videos (made with fictional people and pets) belong to us. Please don't copy them. Other names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Changes to the service

Trends come and go. We may add, change or remove trends and features, and we may pause the service for maintenance. Your credits work with any trend that is available.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Try a Trend is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for how other people use videos you share. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This section does not limit the rights described under Refunds.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes don't apply to credits you already bought if they would leave you worse off; you can ask for a refund of those credits instead.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, you may also have rights under the consumer laws of your country.
